Introduced on Wednesday Galaxy The A54 5G is Samsung's most premium mid-range smartphone for this year. It replaces last year's successful model Galaxy A53 5G. Here are its top five features you should know about.

Exynos 1380 can handle even more demanding games

Perhaps the most interesting thing on Galaxy The A54 5G is its Exynos 1380 chipset, which is much faster than the Exynos 1280 it uses Galaxy A53 5G. Thanks to four high-performance cores and a more powerful graphics chip, it has Galaxy A54 5G 20% better CPU performance and 26% faster in games. The performance of the new chipset is comparable to the Snapdragon 778G chip that powers the phone Galaxy A52s 5G and which has proven itself even in more demanding games.

Improved camera

Samsung u Galaxy The A54 5G also improved the main camera. It has a resolution of 50 MPx and larger pixels (1 micron in size), improved optical image stabilization (which, according to the Korean giant, can compensate for shocks and vibrations 50% better than the OIS of Galaxy A53 5G) and autofocus on all pixels. Thanks to this, the phone can focus faster, take sharper and clearer pictures and record smoother videos in challenging lighting conditions. Both the rear and front cameras can shoot videos in up to 4K resolution at 30 fps.

Glass back

Galaxy The A54 5G is the first smartphone in the series Galaxy A5x, which has a glass back. Both its front and back are equipped with Gorilla Glass, which means the phone has a better grip and is more scratch resistant than its predecessor and previous models Galaxy A5x with plastic back.

Brighter display and louder speakers

Galaxy The A54 5G also boasts a brighter display. According to Samsung, its brightness reaches up to 1000 nits (it was 800 nits for its predecessor). Thanks to the Vision Booster function, it can also display more accurate colors in high ambient light. Otherwise, the display has a 6,4-inch diagonal, FHD+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate (which is adaptive and switches between 120 and 60 Hz as needed), support for the HDR10+ format, and SGS certification for reducing blue radiation.

In addition, the phone has improved stereo speakers. Samsung claims they are now louder and have deeper bass.

Wi-Fi 6 for faster streaming and gaming

Galaxy The A54 5G supports the Wi-Fi 6 standard, which means that high-definition video streaming on platforms such as Disney+, Netflix, Prime Video or YouTube will be faster. Playing online games will also be better (if you have a fast internet connection with a router that supports Wi-Fi 6). In addition, the phone's connectivity includes GPS, 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC and a USB-C 2.0 connector.
