Samsung's display division has launched a new website to help everyone find out if their products feature OLED technology. The site is called OLED Finder and includes devices from Samsung and other brands such as Asus, Oppo, Xiaomi, Vivo, Realme, OnePlus and Meizu (not Apple ones).

OLED Finder is currently in beta and its search engine is limited to 700 smartphone models from the mentioned eight brands. However, Samsung Display plans to later expand the new site's capabilities to help users identify whether tablets and laptops are equipped with Samsung's OLED panels. It is also expected to expand the number of smartphone brands.

Samsung Display claims that 70% of smartphones that have OLED panels use Samsung technology. Although the company is the largest supplier of OLED displays in the world, it is not the only one. (Recently, the Chinese display giant BOE has been making itself known more and more, which should deliver its OLED screens to this year's iPhone SE generation). The OLED Finder website aims to “provide more accurate informace consumers looking for high-end Samsung OLED products”.

Such a specialized site is a smart idea. It can be a very useful tool for potential customers. And the site will become even more useful once tablets, laptops and even iPhones are added to it.
