Nowadays, we come across more and more often a lot of misinformation. Google wants to help limit their spread and come up with new, improved Search features, including a carousel aimed at expanding knowledge on a given topic. In a blog post, Google announced that it is rolling out tools to help with fact-checking in search. One of the most important is the one called Perspectives.

Thanks to this function, we should get relevant results supported by the opinions of a number of recognized journalists and experts on the searched topic. According to Google, Perspectives will provide us with a number of remarkable resources on a given news topic and help us expand our knowledge. “As with all our news features, we strive to deliver authoritative and credible informace,” Google said. While the feature hasn't launched yet, the company says it will soon be available in English in the United States, both on desktop and mobile searches.

While we will have to wait a little longer for Perspectives, in the coming days it will be possible to use the About this result function worldwide. When searching, in most cases, users will see three dots and, after clicking on them, a window with data on the displayed information. Google says the feature will be available in all languages where search is available. Other new tools include an advisor that alerts you when a topic is rapidly evolving, a feature that provides basic informace about the author or the ability to get easier access to the About page.

It can be seen that Google is moving forward and new functions can significantly contribute to the more relevant results we are looking for and perhaps also contribute to a better orientation in individual topics, free from misinformation that spreads on the network.
