Getting recommendations and discovering new artists is an important part of the experience with the globally popular music streaming service Spotify. For this purpose, the Mixes feature is used, which includes categories such as genre mixes, decade mixes and others. Spotify has now added a new tool to Mixes that will allow users to create their own personalized playlist.

Spotify in the new blog contribution announced that it is expanding Mixes with a new tool called Niche Mixes. This will allow users to create personalized playlists based on just a few words in the description, according to the service.

How "it" works is that when users go to the Search tab, they can type in any word that describes the "activity, atmosphere, or aesthetic." And if they add the word "mix" after them, their own playlist will be generated. For example, they can write "Feel Good Morning Mix", "Driving Singalong Mix" or "Night Time Mix".

Spotify describes the new feature as "a set of personalized playlists that playfully combine everything our mixes have to offer." “We give listeners access to tens of thousands of mixes that are unique to them, based on almost anything they can think of,” he adds.

The playlist created in this way can be found in the Created for You section under the Your Niche Mixes tab. According to Spotify, these playlists won't stay the same once created, but will be updated daily. The new feature, which is limited to English only, is now available worldwide to all Spotify users in the free and premium versions.
