Spring is here, and Google is trying to implement a new method to help people and cities adapt to rising temperatures. According to the post on his blog the company plans to bring extreme heat alerts to search in the coming months. Google states that it wants to provide its users with relevant and as accurate as possible informace about temperature, which is why he decided to cooperate with GHHIN, the Global Heat Health Information Network.

If your area is under an extreme heat advisory or warning, when you query it, Search will offer details on when the heatwave is forecast to start and end, along with advice on how to best cool down, other health informaceme and recommendations. When providing these warnings, Google will, among other things, also rely on the user's location data.

It is the latest effort to protect users from dangerous climatic conditions. Google already has systems that can warn of, for example, earthquakes, floods and other natural disasters related to a given area.

This is certainly an interesting function, the usefulness of which will soon be verified by the onset of high summer temperatures, which we will probably have to regularly count on in the future.
