For its flagship phones, Samsung has long maintained a division between Exynos chips (that is, its own) and Snapdragon chips from Qualcomm's workshop. Some markets received Snapdragon variants, while the vast majority (including Europe and therefore the Czech Republic) had to settle for Exynos-powered versions. There is probably no need to describe here how Exynos lags behind Snapdragon for a long time, both in terms of performance and energy efficiency.

This year there was a change requested by many fans when Samsung in line Galaxy The S23 used a chip Snapdragon in all markets. The Korean giant has not yet said whether it intends to exclusively use Qualcomm chipsets in its flagships in the future. According to older leaks it will be, but the latest one is questions. The fact that Samsung does not want to give up its chips would be indicated by another new leak, according to which the phone will be Galaxy S23FE powering its latest flagship Exynos (earlier anecdotal reports were talking about a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1).

Given how Samsung customers perceive Exynos compared to Snapdragon, the Korean giant would have to take some confidence-building measures to convince customers that going back to Exynos is a good decision. A list of advantages on paper would definitely not be enough. He would have to show them convincingly in practice so that there is no doubt that his next Exynos is not far behind Snapdragon.

At the moment, no one knows what Samsung's real plans are with its chipsets, as the company has been tight-lipped about them for now. In this context, recall that according to older leaks, it has created a special team within its mobile division to work on a next-generation chipset that will reportedly be introduced in 2025 and that could power a series of Galaxy S25. However, it would not have to have "Exynos" in the name. With Qualcomm talking about a multi-year "deal" with Samsung earlier this year, and earlier leaks from reliable leakers, we're leaning toward Samsung waiting until next year with the new Exynos and that the lineup Galaxy The S24, like the current one, will exclusively use Qualcomm's next flagship chipset, which is likely to be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (or its overclocked version).
