Apple phones are known for being better than phones with Androidem retain their value better. Value Android phones even depreciate more during resale than old generation iPhones. And it also applies to the series Galaxy S23.
According to the website's latest online used smartphone market survey SellCell she lost her turn Galaxy The S23 and the Google Pixel 7 series compared to the series iPhone 14 a significant part of its value. According to the site's data, the S23 model, which was launched together with the S23+ and S23 Ultra models on February 17 with a price tag of $799,99 (in our country it costs from CZK 23), lost 490% of its original value in the first month of sale and in the second 41,1%. This means your brand new Galaxy The S23 is worth only 56,7% of the original.
In contrast, the line iPhone 14 lost only 31% of its value after two months. So with respect to all the data Galaxy S23 lost its value 1,4 times faster than iPhone 14. Although it may seem like a lot, last year Galaxy The S22 fared significantly worse, as two months after its launch its value dropped three times faster compared to iPhonem 13
The S23 Ultra model in the version with 1TB storage lost the most value in two months. This currently the most powerful androidov phone with a price of 1 dollars (here this version is sold for 619 CZK) has lost 44% of its original value, so that it now costs only 990 dollars (roughly 55,6 CZK, in our conditions it is necessary to add tax). In contrast, its direct competitor iPhone 14 Pro Max (in the version with 128GB storage) lost only 13,6% of its original value in two months.
A high resale value can show you the value of your smartphone, but a lower value does not reflect its quality. If you plan to hang on to your investment, then the performance of the phone and probably the camera will definitely pay off.
iPhone it's a status for the owner, he doesn't care that it's chipped, the battery sucks outside, the equipment doesn't match the price, applications stop working at the end of support, only cropped pages are displayed in the browser, etc.
For someone else, it is important that the phone offers adequate technical parameters for the price (doesn't look like a brick, doesn't have thick frames, has more storage space for the same price, etc.).

Nonsense, I have the exact opposite REAL experience!
Galaxy S23 256GB – launch 5.2.2023/24/18 for 19K with cashbacks around 17-18K, now the price in bazaars around XNUMXK, while you can buy a new one in e-shops for XNUMXK.
Galaxy S22 256GB can be found for around 12K, launched on 13.2.2022/18/14 with cashback also around XNUMXK, now new in eshops for around XNUMXK
iPhone 14GB – start 256/18.9.2022/29 for 800 CZK, now you can get a new one for around 21,5K, after bazaars around 16-17K
For samsung cashback, you only need a noname mobile phone, which can have a real value of 100 CZK, and you will receive a discount of, for example, 3K.
In the case of the new S23, I realistically lose about 3 thousand after 3 months using cashback (when selling for 16K and buying for 19K)
In the case of the new S22, I realistically lose about 14 thousand after 7 months using cashback (when selling for 11K and buying for 18K)
U iPhone 14 256GB I have to buy for the full amount, there are no cashbacks, discounts etc, after 9 months I lose about 12K (when selling for 17K and buying for 29K)
It's beautiful to see, isn't it iPhone loses value brutally the most! I myself have the experience that when I iPhone sold, always after a year, I had to go the hell down to get it sold at all. People do sell year-old models for a little bit less when they launch new ones, but that's unsellable, realistically you have to go for the purchase price and you'll be happy if someone gives you more. It often happened that I couldn't sell last year's model even after a month at the bazaar, not even for a price that was only a few hundreds higher than the purchase price, and people routinely wrote me nonsense prices that were even lower than the purchase price , so in the end I also put it up for sale a few times, I got a higher price there than the scumbags in bazaars and marketplaces offered...
Moreover, it is from some foreign data, so it is of no use here! I understand that the author wanted to compare some "worldwide" price drop statistics, but it's of no use here if you mostly buy your mobile phone here and also sell it here. All you have to do is eureka, goods for comparison, how much mobiles cost and then real sales on aukra, sbazar, bazoš, marketplace...
Well, you know that iPhone it won't be as great as someone trying to sneak up on you! Which also reflects my experience (and that of my acquaintances) that if you want iPhone sell, you can often buy it more advantageously. Although I managed to sell it a few times through bazaars, it wasn't that bad.
Also, I don't know if it's a good idea to compare the S23 and the iP14, the equivalent to the S23 is the iP 14 PRO. iP 14 is low-end, 60Hz, truncated camera, missing AOD, old processor..., but... I would compare iP 14 more to some A series from Samsung. This then comes out even more pitifully for iPhone, because you can buy the A series for around 9K and even if you throw it in the trash after a year, you are better off than with iPhonem.
iPhone it's either worth having longer, or buying a year-old model.
btw: if someone is dealing with the price (money), I probably don't, I buy every year, but this year I'll probably skip it, because I thought to myself, until they hide the whole DI/cutout under the display, I won't buy anymore!
Moreover, I hope that they will make it within 2 years, if not, then probably with Applem quit for good because Android from which I transferred, it still leads and brings innovation, which iPhone no, that food is slowly evolving….
