Along with Galaxy S23 and One UI 5.1, Samsung introduced the Image Clipper function, i.e. selecting objects from photos for their subsequent use. However, owners of other devices have not yet been able to enjoy this feature, even if they already have the new software on their device. However, that is changing now.

It was only a matter of time and it was speculated for a long time, but now it is actually happening. Samsung started for Galaxy S22 release worldwide April update with label S90xBXXU4CWCG, which brings the Image Clipper function to last year's flagship series. Apart from this news, the April version of the firmware also fixes various security flaws of the Exynos 2200 chips and dozens of other problems related to the system Android. In total, the April update fixes 66 security bugs, of which 55 are relevant Androidu.

Image Clipper works by holding your finger on the object in the photo for a second and then it is selected. One UI 5.1 will then offer you options such as copying, sharing and saving the object to the Gallery. But drag and drop gestures also work here, so you can immediately move the selected object to messages, e-mail, notes, etc. When you save, the object is then saved with a transparent background.

It is evident that the function is highly dependent on the performance of the device. But it is expected that rows Galaxy S23 and S22 won't be the only ones that can do it. Below you will find the expected list of Samsung devices that could receive this functionality over time.
