We've already heard reports that apart from the flagship range of tablets Galaxy Tab S9 Samsung is apparently also working on the new Fan Edition series tablet. However, new reports come with the information that it should not be just one model, but two new additions. Both have already appeared in an online benchmark, with the same Exynos chip.

First, an unannounced Samsung tablet bearing the model number was spotted in the Geekbench online benchmark SM-X516B. It is believed to be about Galaxy Tab S9 FE. However, after that, another tablet appeared here with a marking SM-X616B, which strongly suggests that Samsung may release at least two tablets with the FE moniker this year. This could happen already in the summer alongside the new jigsaws and the standard series Galaxy Tab S9, or in the fall with the upcoming one Galaxy S23 FE, which would certainly make more sense.

Because top tablets Galaxy The Tab S9, Tab S9+ and Tab S9 Ultra are expected to have model numbers SM-X716, SM-X816 and SM-X916, it is logical to assume that the newly discovered SM-X516B and SM-X616B are less powerful versions of the flagship tablets. In other words, they probably belong to the "lightweight" Fan Edition series, and maybe both will be released under the name Galaxy Tab S9 FE, just with different sizes of their displays.

Benchmark mentions that both of these mysterious tablets share the same Exynos 1380 chip, which is already equipped with the highest A, namely Galaxy A54 5G. It has four Cortex-A78 processor cores clocked at 2,4 GHz, four Cortex-A55 cores working at a frequency of 2,0 GHz and a Mali-G68 MP5 graphics chip. Benchmarks show that single-core and multi-core performance are very similar for both devices. They also reveal that the SM-X516B tablet, which should be a smaller variant Galaxy The lower-priced Tab S9 FE has 6GB of RAM, while the SM-X616B, which may have a larger display and therefore a higher price tag, packs 8GB of RAM.
