There has been speculation for some time that Samsung's next flexible clamshell, that is Galaxy Z Flip5, will have a significantly larger external display than the previous generation. The earliest leaks talked about at least three inches, the more recent ones mention 3,4 inches, and now we have a new one that says it will be significantly larger.

According to a reliable display leaker and head of Display Supply Chain Consultants Ross Young will have an external screen Galaxy From Flip5 size 3,8 inches. That would be exactly twice the size of the external display of the current and previous generation Z Flip. Such a large display could make it possible to do many more things without having to open the phone. Not to mention that, for example, working with notifications would be significantly more convenient.

Young besides revealed, that Samsung Display will start supplying Samsung with panels for its next foldables (except for the Z Flip5, i.e. for the Z Fold5) in May. The Korean giant should then start their production the following month. They will reportedly be presented in August.

Galaxy Otherwise, according to available leaks, the Flip5 will have - just like its sibling - a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset for Galaxy, which is used by Samsung's current flagship series Galaxy S23, a double camera with a resolution of 12 MPx (so we shouldn't see an improvement here) and a new drop-shaped hinge, thanks to which the flexible display should have a less visible notch and which should also eliminate the gap between its halves. The phone will reportedly be offered in beige, grey, light green and light pink colors.
