Recent message security researchers from McAfee revealed that over 60 applications are infected with the Goldoson malware. These popular apps have been downloaded and installed over a million times. But their developers added malicious code to them by mistake, using a third-party library that contained Goldoson's components and malware.

According to McAfee researchers, the Goldoson malware can collect lists of apps installed on your device and names of devices synced and connected via Bluetooth, GPS or Wi-Fi. This data collection process is activated every two days. The malware then targets fraudulent ads to run in the background without the user's knowledge.

Google is already aware of the malware and has removed most of the affected apps from its store. However, if you have any of the apps listed below on your phone, uninstall them immediately. Keep in mind that even though most of these apps have already been removed from the Google Play Store, that doesn't mean they're no longer harmful. You should uninstall them from your phone and other devices because they can steal your data even if they are on devices that you are not actively using.
