When it comes to image quality, nothing is more important than the screen technology itself. As a brand, TCL also aims to make cutting-edge technology available to everyone. Once TCL's core R&D team had created quality Mini LED screens, they began looking for practical ways to mass-produce them. The traditionally high cost of Mini LED products is partly due to the higher number of LEDs needed. TCL's research team developed a process that significantly reduced the cost of the LED technology itself without affecting the uniformity of the overall display.
In addition to a better viewing experience, the Mini LED is also kinder to our planet. Not only can the Mini LEDs themselves be made more energy efficient, but their ability to dim only certain areas means less energy is needed to achieve the same brightness level than other backlight technologies.
