Samsung is expected to launch its new foldable smartphones this year Galaxy From Fold5 a Galaxy From Flip5. Older and newer leaks claim that this will happen at the end of summer, August to be exact, but according to the most recent one it could be a month earlier.

As stated on Twitter by a leaker appearing on it under the name Revegnus, this year Samsung could start mass production of hinges for new "benders" already at the beginning of June instead of the usual end. From this the leaker deduces that Galaxy From Fold5 a Galaxy From Flip5, they could be introduced as early as July, not in August, as has been speculated so far.

Samsung is said to use a new type of drop-shaped hinge on both new foldables, which will reportedly allow them to fold completely flat without leaving a gap between the two halves. Thanks to it, the flexible display of both devices should also have a less visible notch.

The next Z Fold should otherwise get the same rear photo setup as last time, i.e. 50 MPx main camera (earlier leaks talked about a resolution of 108 MPx), 12 MPx "wide-angle" and 10 MPx telephoto lens, weight 250 g (the current Z Fold weighs 263 g), thickness in the closed state of 13,4 mm (vs. 14,2 mm) and degree of protection IPX8. What we currently know about the fifth generation Z Flip is that it should have a significantly larger external display than its predecessor (3,4 or 3,8 vs. 1,9 inches), a dual rear camera with a resolution of 12 MPx (like its predecessor) and also a certification IPX8 resistance. Both phones should be powered by the same chip used by the series Galaxy S23, i.e. Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy.
