We recently informed, that according to the test carried out by the website PhoneArena, the wireless charging of the series Galaxy S23 noticeably slower than the series Galaxy S22. The site has now run a new test that has produced vastly different results.

New site test PhoneArena showed that the basic model Galaxy The S23 charged from zero to 15 in an hour and 25 minutes (in the first charging test it took 49 minutes longer), the "plus" model in an hour and 1 minutes (vs. 48 hour and 23 minutes) and the S50 Ultra model in an hour and 2 minutes (vs. 37 hours and XNUMX minutes). As for the comparison with the series Galaxy The S22, which the site also ran a new test on, the S23 charged 22 minutes faster than the S16, the S23+ 22 minutes slower than the S10+, and the S23 Ultra six minutes faster than the S22 Ultra.

How can these differences be explained? It probably has nothing to do with the charging pad used, as it is an official Samsung charger, so maximum compatibility should be guaranteed. However, the website suggested in the first test that the Korean giant could offer slower charging speeds due to concerns about overheating and battery degradation. Samsung, on the other hand, has offered a "fast wireless charging" switch on its flagships for years, which is turned on by default. As verified by the website Android Authority, the switch was also on during testing Galaxy S23, so even this discrepancy in both tests cannot be explained.

PhoneArena does not explain how it is possible that the new test showed such different results. Perhaps he will have to make a third, decisive round to the issue of wireless charging Galaxy S23 definitely clarified.
