Recently, there has been speculation in the virtual corridors about what chip will power Samsung's next flagship series Galaxy S24. Older leaks talk about Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the newer ones about Exynos 2400. Now it looks like both sides were right.

According to a reliable leaker going by the name on Twitter Revegnus Samsung's mobile division approved mass production of the Exynos 2400 chip for use in the series Galaxy S24. The Korean giant's new flagship chipset is set to power the line in select markets. It follows that the others will use Qualcomm's next flagship chip, which is likely to be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

That would be the line Galaxy The fact that the S24 was supposed to use a Samsung chipset in some places and a Qualcomm in others would surely come as a surprise, as a Qualcomm representative earlier this year talked about a multi-year exclusive "deal" with Samsung. This means that for at least the next year, Samsung should have exclusively used the Snapdragon chip in its "flagships". However, as it seems now, everything is jotherwise.

New information has now leaked about Samsung's next flagship chipset informace, specifically about its graphics chip. According to the same leaker the Exynos 2400 will have a new GPU based on the AMD RDNA2 architecture (the first was the Xclipse 920 in Exynos 2200), which will boast twelve computing units. That would be four times more than the previous GPU (which, of course, does not mean 4x higher performance). The leaker also confirmed that the chipset will have 10 processor cores.
