Although the next flagship series is Samsung Galaxy S24 still a long way off, it has been the subject of various leaks for some time now. Of course, most of them refer to the model Galaxy S24 Ultra, with the latter rumored to have less cameras. Now a report has hit the airwaves claiming that the phone will use technology from electric cars for longer battery life.

Samsung SDI, a division of Samsung that develops and manufactures lithium-ion batteries, has, according to the website The Elec planned to use in phones and tablets Galaxy technology for increasing capacity used in electric car batteries. It is a cell stacking technology where battery components such as cathodes and anodes are stacked on top of each other, resulting in increased energy density.

Samsung's next top flagship could be the first to use this technology Galaxy The S24 Ultra, which along with its siblings S24 and S24+ should be introduced early next year. The current Ultra has a 5000 mAh battery, which could be increased by at least 10% thanks to this technology (without changing the physical size of the battery).

For this project, the division is said to have partnered with two Chinese companies that are currently set up offices in South Korea to better communicate with the division. One of those companies, Shenzhen Yinghe Tech, was already set to supply Samsung SDI with equipment to assemble battery components after it launched a pilot line for the new manufacturing process at a factory in Tianjin.
