Security threats in the form of malware are often a serious threat to our data, and the rate of their growth is increasing. Now 19 new applications have been discovered for the system Android, which are infected with malware and can harm your device if installed, most worryingly, they are available on the Google Play Store.

A number of companies are engaged in the detection of cyber threats. Among them is Malwarefox, whose team found the mentioned 19 applications infected with malware. Cybercriminals abuse legitimate apps by adding malicious code and re-uploading them to the official store under a new name.

The Malwarefox staff divided the applications into three groups. One contains the Autolycos malware, the other the Joker spyware, which can collect contact lists, SMS messages and details of affected devices, and the last Trojan Horse, Harley, which is able to obtain data about the victim's device within the mobile network. All 19 apps are listed below.

Applications infected with the Harly Trojan

  • Making Gamehub and Box

If you have any of these apps installed, we strongly recommend that you remove them from your device immediately. It is better to prevent any problem than to treat it later.
