Samsung recently released for the watch Galaxy Watch5 to Watch5 Pro update, which made it possible for them to track their menstrual cycle using their temperature sensor. Now it looks like he wants to use the temperature sensor even more in the future. Indeed, he announced that with future updates he will offer na Galaxy Watch5 additional health monitoring functions based on skin temperature.

The latest announcement was made by Samsung's representative in charge of the Samsung Health Service on its community forum. About future skin temperature health monitoring features on Galaxy Watch5, however, did not reveal any details. Likewise, it is unclear at this time when Samsung plans to release these new features.

Galaxy Watch5 to Watch5 Pro are equipped with an infrared sensor for temperature measurement. However, this sensor was not used in any way on them until recently when Samsung announced that it was making menstrual cycle tracking available on them. However, users cannot access this sensor whenever they want, as it is only activated when they need to monitor a specific aspect of their health.

In contrast, watches Apple Watch 8 to Apple Watch Ultras do not have such limitations, so Samsung could be inspired by them to make the skin temperature sensor on Galaxy Watch5 made more useful. The same goes for the ECG measurement function, which is not available on the Korean giant's watch in as many markets as Apple's watch.
