As you may have noticed, Samsung has recently ended software support for some of its older smartphones such as the Galaxy S10, Galaxy A50 a Galaxy A30. Now several other devices have met the same fate Galaxy.

As reported with reference to the Dutch website Galaxy Club server SamMobile, Samsung has stopped software support for phones Galaxy A40, Galaxy A20 a Galaxy A10. The first two mentioned were launched in the first half of 2019, which means that Samsung ended their software support after four years. The latest update for Galaxy A40 a Galaxy A10 was the March security patch, while the pro Galaxy The A20 is three months older.

In addition to these phones, the Korean giant has ended software support for several older tablets, namely the Galaxy Tab S5e, Galaxy Table A 10.1 a Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019). Like the mentioned smartphones, these tablets were launched in the first half of 2019. The last update which Galaxy The Tab S5e received was the November security patch, Galaxy Tab A10.1 then December. Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) has received the January security patch in some markets.

Using the above-mentioned devices is not necessarily dangerous despite the end of their software support. Since some devices Galaxy receive new security patches every six months, these end-of-life phones and tablets should remain relatively safe for at least half a year after receiving the last security update.

It is possible that these devices will receive another security update if Samsung discovers a critical vulnerability. He did so, for example, last year in the case of the then seven-year-old series Galaxy S6.
