Samsung's current flagship series Galaxy The S23, especially the S23 Ultra, has an excellent camera. However, it does not work completely flawlessly, which has prompted the company to constantly improve it with regular updates. Recently, users discovered that the camera had an issue with HDR in certain lighting conditions, but the Korean giant confirmed late last week that it was working on a fix.

As the legendary leaker stated on Twitter Ice universe, Samsung is working to fix the camera's HDR problem Galaxy S23 and will deliver the corresponding fix in the next update. According to him, Samsung specifically said in a conversation on its home support forum that "improvements are being worked on that will be included in the next version."

Anecdotal reports from mid-last month suggested the same, but the fix doesn't appear to be part of the May security update that Samsung has been rolling out for a few days now. By "next version" he probably meant the June security patch. However, it is also possible that he meant the next version of the May update, which he will only release for the series Galaxy S23.

Fortunately, the mentioned problem is not that widespread and seems to appear only in certain lighting conditions. Specifically, it manifests itself as a halo effect around objects in low light or indoors when the primary light source is in the shot. According to Samsung, the problem is related to exposure value and local tone mapping.
