While Meta is working on a number of new features for its messaging app WhatsApp, it has sneaked a really giant bug into the app. That is, allegedly, because they are trying to get it on Google. This is because the application constantly uses the microphone, even when the user closes it. This problem seems to affect many smartphones with the system Android, including those from Samsung.
This WhatsApp microphone bug was first brought to Twitter's attention, with a screenshot showing the microphone activity history in the system's privacy panel as proof Android. It clearly shows that WhatsApp accesses the microphone very often. Additionally, microphone activity was also clearly visible through a green dot notification on the device's status bar.

Meta responded to the situation and stated that the problem lies in the operating system Android, not in the app itself. Representatives of WhatsApp therefore claim that the error is, on the contrary, in Androidu which "wrongly assigns" informace to the privacy panel. Google should be investigating this by now.
The worst part is that WhatsApp only responded after Elon Musk shared his opinion on the matter, and how else than on Twitter. As you might have guessed, Musk's reaction was not exactly positive when he accused WhatsApp of being untrustworthy. Be that as it may, for the billions of people who use WhatsApp, this is a worrying situation as it really puts their privacy at risk. For now, there is no remedy and the question is how long we will have to wait for it.
What the hell is this again? But if Google is watching us every day and eavesdropping, it doesn't matter, huh? You in the editorial office must be good at stick 😄🤦✌️
That even Google would be listening non-stop? Show where it is written and if it is, or are you just slapping the wind? Of course, Google is watching us, but not in the way that its apps always have their microphone on…
