When Samsung gave its smartwatch Wear OS 3, opened them up more to applications from third-party developers. Meta, which is behind not only Facebook, but also Instagram, and the most widespread chat platform WhatsApp, is now launching this communicator on Galaxy Watch4 to Watch5.

Thanks to the official availability of WhatsApp for Wear OS can watch Galaxy Watch4, Galaxy Watch5 and other smart watches with Wear OS to stay connected and offer users access to chats right from their wrist. The application currently displays a simple list of recent contacts, a menu Settings and option Open in phone.

After opening the chat, you can of course browse previous conversations. You can reply to messages using voice messages or the system keyboard. To set up and use WhatsApp on a device running Wear OS, you need to enter the eight-digit code from the watch on your phone and pair it with your account.

Subsequently, the application will synchronize your conversations from the phone to the device with the operating system Wear OS that will be protected by end-to-end encryption. Of course, there are also badges with the number of unread messages, there are also two tiles, namely WhatsApp Contacts and WhatsApp Voice Message, which allows you to instantly record a voice message.

However, if you want to use WhatsApp with your Samsung watch, you must first register for the beta program (you can do so by clicking PULL). You need to make sure that the WhatsApp app on your phone is running Android and it uses version 2.23.10.10+ in the smartwatch. But it's a small price to pay for the comfort you get. If you're not getting anywhere, you just have to hold out for a while. When beta testing ends, WhatsApp will be pro Wear OS released without any conditions.
