Google has completed its developer conference event. Artificial intelligence was talked about for a long time, practically until the end it was also about hardware. Considering the time devoted to the first and the second, it is evident what is important to Google. After all, CEO Sundar Pichai said it himself, he has been putting artificial intelligence first for 7 years.
So it's probably no wonder that AI is entering the Androidu. Its 14th version will introduce a new look for the lock screen, which you will be able to personalize purely according to your own wishes, either with the style of the clock or with shortcuts. Emoji wallpaper but it offers up to 16 different emoticons, which you can edit in different ways for an eye-catching result, when the wallpaper also responds to touch.
For this, they will also be available Cinematic wallpaper, which is created with the help of machine learning in 3D photos. So there will be a certain parallax effect, where the photo will be filmed according to how you tilt the phone. It will be until the third Android 14 to be able to generate your own wallpapers according to the text you entered, i.e. with the help of AI. This actually practically kills many similar single-purpose apps on Google Play. You just describe what you want to draw and in what style and that's it.
Google itself adds to this that it is very unlikely that you will have the same wallpaper with someone. All wallpapers are also modified with Material You elements. It's quite interesting to see that it goes the other way too. Apple introduced more lock screen personalization in iOS 16, when Samsung was greatly inspired by it in its One UI superstructure. But this is something very different.
Google Photos
After the last version added support for HDR video, HDR image support comes in v Androidu 14 and will offer more realistic photos thanks to a greater range of brightness, color and contrast. This will be called "Ultra HDR" format, which is backwards compatible with JPEG.
Images taken with it can be saved in native 10-bit high dynamic range and then viewed that way on premium devices once it's released Android 14. Google expects this to be the default format for the built-in camera app as well as all in-app camera views. Google Photos will support Ultra HDR for viewing, backing up, editing, sharing and downloading.
Then there's AI-powered retouching. It deletes an inappropriate object, moves it, changes colors, smoothes the sky, etc. It looks like Photoshop work, only without your intervention.
Google applications
O Androidit didn't turn out that much. First of all, the upcoming version was not once named as Android 14. According to the company, however, some version Androidu is used by more than 3 billion people worldwide. Finally, it will start focusing on larger displays, thanks to the introduction of the Pixel Tablet and the flexible Pixel Fold phone. He redesigned more than 50 of his applications just for them and everyone else.
Privacy and security
In terms of security and privacy, apps can only be allowed partial/selective access to media, and permission prompts will require developers to explain when and why location data is shared with third-party companies. Likewise, users will receive monthly "Location Data Sharing" updates.
Find My Device
The service update will arrive during the summer and should support a wide range of devices, including headphones and tablets, regardless of brand. It should also take care of warning about unauthorized tracker type Galaxy SmartTag a Apple AirTag. After all, with Apple Google itself is working on some comprehensive solution.
So I ran away from years ago Androidu, more or less due to the fact that I ran out of patience with whether there will be an update for my phone as well. It was android 7 year around 2017/18. I've been going ever since Apple, in the beginning it was a packing house, mainly iOS 10 and something and before I gave up and threw the snobby one iPhone to the trash, so I tried updating to iOS 11 and that was quite possible. I'm kind of on Apple he used to and I already have enough things from him. But it's not a problem for me to come back, especially when it's not Apple able to hide the notch/DI even after approx. 6 years, upgrades cost almost nothing, base line chopped, like Lowend u Androidat…
So I'm starting to think about going back. The only thing I will miss are them Apple Watch. Galaxy they are also great, but unfortunately in a round design, if they made a square one, I wouldn't hesitate and go for them right away.
I wonder where this will go…..?
btw: will Google Photos finally be able to recognize and delete duplicates?
There are plenty of square smartwatches on the market. At least Garmin has some, as does Fossil, which will communicate with the Samsung world quite correctly. To delete duplicates, look in Google Play, there are plenty of apps for that.
