Samsung has started distributing a new software update for the series Galaxy S23, which brings an interesting feature offering flexibility in your video calls. This is because it allows users to transfer video calls from phones Galaxy S23 to a compatible tablet Galaxy. According to the leaker Ice Universe the company released this update first in China.

New software update for Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra comes with firmware version S91x0ZCU1AWD3. The 362,12 MB update is still based on One UI 5.1 and includes the old February 2023 security patch. However, it brings a feature that allows users to stream a video call from the device Galaxy S23 to the device Galaxy A tab signed in to the same account and on the same Wi-Fi network.

Many may be familiar with this functionality from the world of the Apple ecosystem, where it commonly works with FaceTime between iPhones, iPads and Macs. However, the company did not specify which applications will be able to do this on Samsung devices. It is safe to assume that this will at least be the case with a native app, probably not WhatsApp or Google Meet. Samsung is expected to bring brakes to the line Galaxy S23 more camera-focused optimizations (including fixes for HDR blooming issues) either with the second May 2023 update or the June 2023 update.
