Back in 2017, Samsung introduced a feature called App Pair that allows users to create pairs of apps and run them together in split-screen multitasking mode. The same function is now brought natively by Google to Androidin 14

Google released a second one last week beta version Androidu 14. Well-known specialist on Android Mishaal Rahman while examining her found out, that the US tech giant is developing a way to allow users to save pairs of apps. Although Android it already allows you to use pairs of apps and keep them in the multitasking menu, they cannot be saved and reused after they are closed. Android 14 will now allow users to create app pairs and save them to the home screen. So whenever a user clicks on the icon of a saved pair of apps, the two apps will open in split-screen multitasking mode.

It's been six years since Samsung started offering pairs of apps that can be saved and placed on the sidebar or home screen. And Google is just now realizing the potential of this feature. The feature is especially useful for those who often work on multiple tasks at once using two applications. It will also find its use on large-screen devices such as foldable phones and tablets.

While Samsung has offered this feature for years, it's a proprietary implementation based on the Androidua in that Google is now introducing it to Androidu directly, it will be more optimized. And the Korean giant will also benefit from this.
