A few days ago, OpenAI introduced the official ChatGPT mobile app for iOS. This is currently available exclusively for the company's operating system Apple, but it won't be long and it will be available for Android. That's why it's worth waiting a while.

Artificial intelligence is currently on the rise and enjoying immense popularity, as evidenced by the huge user base that ChatGPT has acquired in a relatively short time, with its algorithm behind its success, which makes responses fast, efficient, and as if the question has been asked a real person answered, not to mention that the possibilities and ways to use OpenAI's artificial intelligence are constantly increasing.

Currently, ChatGPT can only be accessed via the web, within the application iOS v Apple Store and users Androidu will have to wait a little longer. However, several fake apps impersonating ChatGPT have appeared on the Google Play Store, aiming to rip off users on overpriced subscription plans. However, many have downloaded some of them out of curiosity or ignorance.

"Fake" ChatGPT apps that want to make money off of you:

  • GBT Chat: After the three-day free trial ends, it costs $6 per week and $312 per year. The developers made $10 in March alone.
  • Genie: Charges $7 per week and $70 per year. In April, the app earned $1 million.
  • GAI Assistant: The paid version has a price tag of $6 per week, the free version has a daily limit of ten entries. In March, it earned its developers about $15.
  • AI Chat GBT: The application will cost you 6,49 euros per month.
  • AI Chat - Chatbot AI Assistant: Aggressively calls for payment of $8 per week.
  • Genie AI Chatbot: It will cost you $7 for a weekly or $70 for an annual subscription. Last month, the app earned developers $700 in revenue.
  • AI Chatbot - Open Chat Writer: It costs $6,99 per month or $79,99 per year.

In addition to these applications, there were already many similar to them from the Google platforms and Apple removed because suspicious activity has been reported with them. Therefore, if you have accidentally installed an application imitating ChatGPT, we can only recommend unsubscribing and then removing the application from your device. We are really close to the release of the official one.
