The expected has become a reality. After previous information that claimed that Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 5 should be the first watch on the market with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 chipset, it should run Wear OS 3, the design will be refreshed and offer a rotating crown, Mobvoi has confirmed the arrival of the new model and everything is in line with earlier information.

The watch is therefore equipped with the mentioned Qualcomm W5+ Gen 1 chipset, operating system Wear OS 3.5 and Mobvoi's proven dual-layer display technology that helps deliver a claimed 80 hours of use between charges. TicWatch Pro 5 does not deny its predecessor TicWatch For 3 Ultra GPS. At first glance, we can find similarities here in terms of appearance, but the double-crown design disappears and offers a more conventional solution in the form of a single rotating crown that allows you to scroll through the menus. There is the mentioned and Mobvoi characteristic two-layer screen combining an economical LCD display and a standard OLED panel. Among other things, thanks to this solution, TicWatch For 5 giant battery life with a capacity of 628 mAh.

The low-power secondary display can handle more in this generation. It can cycle through a menu that displays various health indicators such as heart rate, estimated calories burned for the whole day, and the like without having to turn on the watch's 1,43″ OLED screen with a resolution of 466 x 466 and a frequency of 60Hz. Newly, the color of the backlight of the energy-saving display changes according to the heart rate during activities, with the aim of helping the user quickly and at a glance to determine if the load needs to be adjusted. The device meets the requirements of the MIL-STD-810H resistance standard, so they can survive even harsh conditions without any problems, and thanks to the 5 ATM water resistance, you can enjoy a home bath with them as well as ordinary water fun in shallow water.

From Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1, which is the heart of TicWatch The Pro 5 is widely expected to be twice as fast as Qualcomm chips Wear 4100+ while consuming significantly less energy. It is still too early to say whether the new chip will cause a revolution, TicWatch The Pro 5 is the first watch available with the W5+ Gen 1, but it definitely adds some oomph to the watch and helps deliver on Mobvoi's battery life claims.

As for other technical specifications, the case of the device is made of aluminum. The watch has 2 GB of RAM memory and a storage capacity of 32 GB. Connectivity is provided by Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 2,4GHz, and health sensors include a PPG heart rate sensor, an SpO2 sensor, and a skin temperature sensor. The strap has a standard size of 24 mm and the proportions of the watch itself are 50,15 x 48 x 12,2 mm with a weight of 44,35 g. There are functions such as mobile payments, various exercise modes and training analysis tools. There is only one obsidian color to choose from. Tic watchesWatch 5 Pro are available on the manufacturer's website from today and will surely penetrate the Czech market soon. The price is set at 350 US dollars, i.e. less than 8 crowns.
