Samsung has released a new update for its voice assistant Bixby. What news does the update bring?

The new update for Bixby brings it up to version 3.3.15.18 and is just under 63MB. Samsung says in the changelog that you can now do more with Assistant. Specifically, Bixby can now recommend useful settings related to a wider range of commands.

In addition, the Korean giant has also improved some options for child accounts, a feature it introduced earlier this year. Now, users of child accounts can request parental verification to access Bixby services and require additional sharing permissions from third parties.

The function of child accounts in the assistant is currently only supported in the US and South Korea, but Samsung reminds in the change log that it will gradually reach other countries.

Finally, the new update now allows users to wake up by voice when playing a ringtone, alarm clock, or Bixby TTS (Text-To-Speech) feature, even if Wake up when sound is playing is turned off. This new function, called Wake up when media is playing, can be activated in the Settings menu under the Voice wake-up option.
