As you probably know, Samsung is set to launch a new watch range later this year Galaxy Watch6. Apparently, it will bring a number of improvements, both software and hardware. Let's summarize everything we know about her at the moment.

What models will the series be? Galaxy Watch6 include?

Advice Galaxy WatchThe 6 will apparently consist of two models – a base model and a model Watch6 Classic. Some leaks suggest that the second mentioned model will bear the moniker Pro as Galaxy Watch5 Pro, but given that it's supposed to have a physical rotating bezel, that's highly unlikely.

When will it be your turn? Galaxy Watch6 presented

Older leaks said that the series Galaxy Watch6 will be like almost all previous generations Galaxy Watch presented in August, but according to the newer ones it will be already in July. More precisely, it should be July 26. The very latest leaks then suggest that the next event Galaxy Unpacked, at which Samsung should reveal new foldable smartphones in addition to new watches Galaxy From Fold5 a Galaxy From Flip5, it will be held not in the US, but in South Korea.

Design

The latest generation Galaxy Watch compared to the previous one, it did not bring any fundamental design change. It is possible to expect that even the series will not bring big changes in this regard Galaxy Watch6. However, we could expect some minor changes. The basic model will reportedly have a curved display, which would be inspired by watches Apple Watch and Pixels Watch. As already mentioned, the model Watch6 Classic should get a physical rotating bezel in the wine and in terms of design it should thus resemble the model Watch4 Classic. Compared to it, however, its frame will reportedly be a bit thinner.

Specifications

Galaxy Watch6 to Watch6 Classic should have larger displays compared to their predecessors. The screen of the base model (specifically the 40mm version) will reportedly be 1,31 inches in size with a resolution of 432 x 432px, while the display of the 46mm version of the model Watch6 Classic should boast a diagonal of 1,47 inches and a super fine resolution of 480 x 480 pixels. As a reminder: 40mm version Galaxy Watch5 has a 1,2-inch display with a resolution of 396 x 396 pixels and Galaxy Watch5 For a 1,4-inch screen with a resolution of 450 x 450 px. The displays will most likely be of the Super AMOLED type.

The series should be powered by the new Exynos W980 chipset, which will reportedly be 10% faster than the Exynos W920 used by the series Galaxy Watch5 to Watch4. It should also be a bit more energy efficient. As for the battery, the 40 mm version of the base model should have a capacity of 300 mAh, the 44 mm version should have a capacity of 425 mAh. The 42 and 46 mm versions of the Classic model will reportedly have the same capacities. For the standard model, this would be a year-on-year increase of 16, or 15 mAh.

Health and fitness features

At the beginning of May, Samsung announced several key features that will debut on the next ones Galaxy Watch. These will be provided by a new watch superstructure (built on the system Wear OS 4) One UI Watch 5.

One of these new features will be sleep tracking similar to what Fitbit offers on its watches. With a word-based numerical score and cute animals, the new sleep tracking platform will provide a personalized view of your sleep history, plus suggestions for improving your sleep habits. However, unlike Fitbit's watch, this feature will not be paid for.

One UI Watch 5 will also bring heart rate training zones for even more advanced real-time training feedback. These zones will be divided into "warm-up", "fat burning", "cardio" and others. The add-on will also bring updated fall detection for even safer workouts and trips. When the feature launches, users will be able to communicate directly with emergency services.

When it comes to sensors, we can count on that Galaxy Watch6 to Watch6 Classic will have an accelerometer, a barometer, a gyroscope, a geomagnetic sensor, a BioActive sensor that includes a set of sensors for heart rate measurement, EKG and body composition analysis. The temperature sensor, which made its debut in the series, will certainly not be missing either Galaxy Watch5 and which is linked to the function of monitoring menstrual cycles. It wouldn't be out of place if Samsung v Galaxy Watch6 modified its operation so that it was possible to "just" measure the temperature with it.
