Long gone are the days when Samsung devices came with the infamous androidTouchWiz superstructure. For several years with phones and smartphones Galaxy they ship with the One UI superstructure, which has gained worldwide popularity due to its long list of features, wide customization options, smooth running and timely updates. Here are five great One UI features you would want on your device Galaxy they should definitely try it.

Automate tasks with Routines

One of the best features of the One UI extension is the ability to automate tasks. You can create any number of automations that perform selected actions exactly when you need them. For example, you can create a routine called Slow Charge that turns off fast wired charging during sleep to preserve battery life, or a routine called Migraine that dims your phone's screen brightness, mutes sound, and activates a blue light filter. You can create a routine (or choose one of several preset modes for routines) in Settings→Modes and routines.

Open applications in pop-up windows

In addition to opening two apps side by side like other smartphones, phones let you Galaxy allow you to open them in windows that can be moved, resized and minimized. They are similar to Google chat bubbles, but more useful and reliable. Unlike bubbles, popups work with any app that supports multiple windows, not just messaging apps. This feature is perfect for a foldable device like this Galaxy ZFold4.

The function has many uses. One is to watch YouTube videos while using other apps without paying for YouTube Premium. You can open YouTube in a popup window, resize the window, play the video you want, and tap full screen. When you do this, YouTube will play the video full screen within a window, which is better than split screen.

  • Click the button to bring up open applications.
  • Tap the app icon and select an option Open in a new window.
  • Click the horizontal bar at the top to close, minimize, expand, or set the window's transparency.

Keep the screen on when viewing it

Google Pixel 4 has come with Screen Attention feature which keeps the screen on when you are looking at it, thereby canceling the time limit for turning it off. On a Samsung phone, this function (under the name Smart Stay) appeared for the first time in 2012, namely "brought out" Galaxy S3.

That was 11 years ago, so many users Galaxy may no longer remember the feature ever existed, especially since it's no longer called Smart Stay and is located in a sub-menu. Follow these steps to enable it:

  • Open it Settings.
  • Select an option Advanced features.
  • Select an item Movements and gestures.
  • Turn on the switch During the review leave on giant.

Use widgets on the lock screen

Google v Androidu 5 removed the lock screen widgets, but Samsung is in na Androidin the 11-based One UI 3 superstructure returned. Here's how to access them:

  • Go to Settings→Lock screen.
  • Select an option Gadgets.
  • Turn on, off or change the order of widgets according to your preferences. It's a bit of a shame that Samsung doesn't allow users to use any third-party widgets, but that's likely to bother few. There are widgets for music, weather, today's schedule, next notification, digital well-being, mode and routines and an answering machine.

Customize the side button

One UI lets you customize the side (power) button and double-press it to open your preferred app.

  • Go to Settings→Advanced Features.
  • Select an option Side button.
  • Turn on the switch Double press. Double-press the side button to quickly launch the camera app, open Secure Folder, or launch an app. In addition, you can - by holding down the side button - open the Bixby voice assistant or bring up the Shutdown menu.
