Every electronic device will sooner or later wear out. There are several points of "death" with mobile phones. These are, for example, software support, battery condition or simply performance limits, when the device is no longer able to perform the work as you were used to. But we want to focus on the first and often criticized one.

Apple they still pay for the company that provides the longest software support for their iPhones. In the case of phones Galaxy but he really has nothing to envy. Generally speaking, iPhones have 5 years of support for the latest iOS, some models will live even six years, but they are rather exceptions. But as soon as Apple installs updates on that iPhone iOS, it usually becomes a stupid paperweight after a while.

Developers at iOS namely, they create applications that are debugged for the latest version of the system, not as in the case of Androidu, where everything matches the most widespread version. For example, banking is unsupported iOS you won't start anymore because it wants to update from the App Store but you can't because the update requires the latest iOS. So which is better? Missing that year of updates or having similar issues?

Samsung now gives 4 years of updates Androidu plus 5 years of phone security. On the field Android production is the leader in this, and if we also take into account that the usual exchange of an old phone for a new one is somewhere around three years, this can be a really ideal interval. After all, Google also offers just three years. So is more really needed? I personally think not. Fortunately, the days of biannual updates are gone, when this policy has improved dramatically and what Samsung is giving us is truly generous.

On the other hand, it is true that many Galaxy S20 will no longer get Android 14 and maybe she deserved it considering her purchase price at the time and also her hardware capabilities. However, the policy of four years of updates Androidu is still new after all and let's be glad that Samsung got the hang of it in this regard. So far, it has the most of all manufacturers.
