The Korean giant has released a new update to its SmartThings app for iPhones and iPads. It offers several interface improvements, thanks to which the user comfort of control is improved, including easier checking of the current status of smart home devices and simplifying the process of inviting other family members.

SmartThings New Version 1.7.01 for iOS and iPadOS brings a change in the form of the Favorites tab at the top, which displays a clear view of the device status data of your entire household. Here you can see, for example, how many devices are connected, the current weather, which of the added equipment currently does not have access to the local network, or whether individual components of your smart home are connected to the Internet.

As already mentioned, the update also simplified the process of inviting others to a smart home account using a simple Share Link menu. Just go to the Favorites tab, tap the + button at the top of the screen, and then select Invite Member.

It's also a notable novelty that Samsung has added to its system apps over the past few months iOS and iPadOS support for the Matter standard, which brought compatibility with more devices within smart homes. If you're new to SmartThings and would like to learn more about the app's capabilities, just visit the website Samsung, where everything is written clearly and in detail. If you are using iPhone or iPad, you can now install the new version of SmartThings from Apple App Store.
