Some phone users Galaxy The S23 and S23+ complain about blurring certain parts of photos when using the main camera. This problem it's apparently been around since the phones launched earlier this year, and some users refer to it as "banana blur." Samsung has now finally confirmed that it is aware of the problem and has promised to fix it soon.

Pictures taken with the main camera Galaxy The S23 and S23+ sometimes show persistent blurring in some areas, and this problem is especially noticeable when taking close-up photos. According to Samsung, the problem is caused by the wider aperture of the main camera. On his Polish community forum he said that he is working to fix it and that he will deliver the fix in the next update.

The Korean giant also offered some temporary solutions. One is to step back from the subject if it is 30cm from the camera lens. The second is to hold the phone vertically instead of horizontally or diagonally.

It's a bit puzzling why it took Samsung nearly four months to acknowledge the problem. However, we're not sure if it's possible to fix it with a software update due to its nature. This is exactly where a dual aperture lens would come in handy. A dual aperture (f/1.5–2.4) feature was introduced in the series Galaxy S9 and was also present in the series Galaxy S10, but other series no longer had it.
