A few years ago, Samsung jumped on board with online data backup and introduced its Samsung Cloud, which works across the company's ecosystem. About five years ago, a web version was also introduced that allowed users to display images, videos and other content from their smartphone on a computer or laptop.

However, the functions have been gradually reduced and only one thing is to blame for this - the partnership with Microsoft, which has its OneDrive. Even now, when you set up a new phone, it automatically directs you to backup your photos to the Microsoft cloud. Some of the company's applications, such as Office, are also preinstalled on the device. Samsung has now decided to move from its Cloud to OneDrive as part of a wider strategy to reduce costs while still offering more to consumers.

So, Samsung Cloud is gradually shutting down and switching to OneDrive. Finally, the schedule was also published, which brought it closer termination of various functions. If you have any important documents or music in the Samsung cloud, you should download or transfer that data elsewhere. You can do this in the app or on the website. According to Samsung's official announcement, this will no longer be possible from July 23. However, some functions, such as contacts backup, synchronization and settings, will remain on the Samsung Cloud.
