Samsung releases regular updates to a range of phones and tablets Galaxy, with most devices receiving them at least three years after being launched. As time goes on, the Korean tech giant is reducing the frequency of updates for some devices before eventually ending support for them altogether.

Samsung has now ended software support for several devices it launched in 2019. Specifically, these phones and tablets are:

  • Galaxy A90 5G
  • Galaxy M10s
  • Galaxy M30s
  • Galaxy Tab S6 (models Galaxy Tab S6 5G and Tab S6 Lite will continue to receive updates since they launched in 2020)

In addition, the Korean giant has moved several older phones to the half-yearly update plan. Specifically, these are smartphones Galaxy A03S, Galaxy M32, Galaxy M32 5G a Galaxy F42 5G.

All of these phones will receive two security updates within 12 months, after which software support will end. That is, unless a serious security flaw is identified in them that needs to be fixed, which doesn't happen very often.
