The Princess from the Mill
In a South Bohemian village, in the middle of silver ponds and dark forests, lives a handsome young man Jindřich, who one day goes out into the world with a firm decision to free the cursed princess. On his way, he reaches a haunted mill, where the beautiful Eliška lives with her father, a miller. Eliška likes the young man, she tells him that there is a cursed princess in the pond and he stays at the mill as a helper.
Immortal aunt
Matěj sits on the bank of the river and in his sleep Reason and Luck are discussing over him. Rozum, a wise villager with silver hair, wants to help Matej. He performs his magic and Matěj wakes up as a new person. He explains to his astonished parents that he is leaving for the world, and fate takes him to Ctirad's kingdom, which is, however, suddenly struck by a calamity. The generous portion of royal wisdom that the fairy-tale grandfather Rozum conjured for Matěj comes from Ctirad's royal head.
Rumplcimprcampr
Somewhere in a fairytale land lies a rather small, not very rich, but nice little kingdom. It is called Velký Titěrákov there. This land is ruled by King Valentine (J. Satinský) and his wise wife (J. Bohdalová). Or is it the other way around? Anyway, both royal spouses would like to see their only son, Prince Hubert (I Horus), married and on the royal throne. However, he cannot choose the princess his father wants.
The most beautiful puzzle
The friendly janitor Matěj has a good heart, smarts to give away and, in addition to puzzles, he also likes Majdalenka, the daughter of the farmer he works for. Majdalenka returns his love, but her father has already chosen another groom for her, the magistrate's son Jakub. Nothing is lost, however, because Matěj saved the white dove, and in return he brought a magical strawberry, thanks to which he and his sweetheart can understand the language of birds. When the farmer throws Matěj out, the young man goes to the castle, where they are competing in riddles for the hand of Princess Rosemary. Whoever guesses three gets her as his wife.
Devil's Bride
King Bořivoj and Queen Elizabeth live a beautiful life. The subjects like them. However, their happiness is clouded by one thing - they have no children. The king doesn't make a big deal out of it, but the queen is worried and would pay hell for her offspring. And since the devil never sleeps, she and her husband have a midnight appearance at the Devil's Mill, where they get a very special offer. They will reject her at first. But in a few months, Princess Stepanka will be born to the queen. She grows like water and is best with Štěpán, the son of the queen's chamberlain. Shortly before her eighteenth birthday, Štěpánka learns about the pact her mother once made with the devils. The conditions are simple and extremely cruel. For receiving life from hell, she becomes the bride of its ruler. The king tries to save his daughter at the last minute, he organizes a ball where Stepanka is supposed to choose a husband from the princes present before she ends up in the clutches of Lucifer. However, he sees through the ruse and takes terrible revenge. Stepanka, transformed into a black ghost, awaits rescue. The only one who is willing to take risks for her is her childhood friend Štěpán. Can love defeat the forces of hell?
Ghosts
The Hejkala Hugo family lives peacefully in an old villa on the edge of town. The sweet and spooky life in which Hugo was laughing, his mistress Patricia and her mother Žofie were casting spells, the waterman Bubla took care of the little souls and the fairy Jitřenka danced light-footed dances, will be changed by the intrusion of Patočka, an official who is in charge of building records at the municipal office. And as he found out, no one has paid rent for the house for quite a few years and no one even officially wants to live in it, mainly because it is haunted. Nevertheless, there is a kind of crazy family living here. The verdict is merciless: pay or move out! However, why pay when Mr. Hugo has no salary for cheering and Mrs. Patricia only mixes potions, after which a person can turn into an animal or a movie diva but does not conjure up money? Nothing can be done, the ghosts will have to go to work and their children - Ester and Eleonor - to school. It looks simple, but the life of ordinary mortals will be more complicated for the haunted family than it seems at first glance. How will the waterman fare in the laundry, the fairy as the prima ballerina of the dance troupe and the hejkal as the star of the local theater? And will Mrs. Patricia resist the seductions of her first love - the vampire Ignatius from Timișoara? What about Mr. Patočka? An encounter with the human world, in which different rules apply than in the fairy tale, will bring a number of comical and exciting situations. Our heroes must use not only charms and lines, but also family cohesion, love and courage to outwit the bureaucratic snitch and win over the snares of "ordinary" people.
The gluttons
Odd-eaters are small creatures that live with us humans and are responsible for the fact that from every pair of socks humanity always has only one left - the odd one. They make a living from socks! The destinies of the main protagonists of the MONSTERS and their greatest opponent, the eccentric and abandoned PROFESSOR, are connected by the story of the main character, the little MONSTER HIHLÍK, for whom great adventures await in the film. The days of his grandfather LAMOR, who raised him, are over and HIHLÍK must overcome his fear, climb out of the window and go in search of his uncle PADRE, about whom he had no idea until now. He draws his courage from what his grandfather instilled in him - love for family, good upbringing and the odd-eating "ten". He does not abandon his ideals and principles even in the new robber's home with his mafia uncle and two sleazy cousins. Even though they lead him into dangerous situations. When in the end, with a heavy heart, he does break the two basic cannibalistic rules "Never take the whole pair" and "Stay close to people, but stay away from them", only because he believes he has exhausted all options to reach his desired goal – to the family.
Kuky is coming back
Kuky se vráci, a film by screenwriter and director Jan Svěrák, is an adventurous and poetic family story, in which, however, heroes from the world of children's imagination take the main roles. Six-year-old Ondra suffers from asthma, so for "health reasons" even his favorite toy - the pink bear Kuky - has to go. When the mother throws Kuky into the trash, Ondra's fantasy begins to work, in which he experiences the teddy bear's stories in an unknown natural world. But is it really just a little boy's dream or has Kuky really set off on the biggest adventure of his plush life? Kuky se vráci is a truly unique film in the context of contemporary domestic cinema, not only for its focus on a family audience that unites children and adult viewers, but also for its unconventional and modern combination of a live-action and animated story, full of action scenes and funny dialogues.
A heist tale
The tale is about the famous robber Lotrand, who wanted his son to be an educated master. As soon as Lotrando is dying, he has his son called to take over his trade after his death. Lotrando the younger had no idea until now that his father was a robber, yet on his deathbed he promised him that he would take up the trade. Judge for yourself how he will do.
A postman's tale
The fairy tale tells about the postman Kolbab, who falls asleep at the post office and discovers the postal elves playing cards with unaddressed letters. Each of the unmarked letters is worth as much as its contents. This is how Kolbab gets his hands on a letter in which the unknown Frantík asks for the hand of a certain Mařenka, after which he decides to track down the addressee at all costs.
Pat and Mat: DIY tricks
And it's here again! Pat and Mat come in brand new Do-It-Yourselfers! A series of stories that will bring a smile to the faces of children and adults alike. What trick will they devise against the thief who steals their apples from the tree? Wash the car with a hose? That's nothing for Pat and Mat! He'd rather build a car wash. Pancakes are a great treat on an empty stomach, but the flipping in the pan? This is unnecessary effort for DIYers and at the same time the right challenge.
