You found your first smartwatch under the tree Galaxy and wondering what you can actually do with them? There's a lot going on, but here are 5 things you might not have known your watch could do.

Download the best apps from the Play Store

To yours Galaxy Watch you can download applications from the Play Store just as you would on your phone. Among the ones you might find useful is a note-taking app Google Keep, a fitness app Strava or apps for creating your own watch faces Facer.

Ability to take screenshots

Just like on your phone, you can also take screenshots on your watch. Just press both physical buttons at the same time. Screenshots from the watch are saved on your phone in Internal memory→DCIM→Pictures→Watch.

Ability to change button functions

We are all used to something different, and you all use your device a little differently. If you are not comfortable with the standard mapping of button functionality to Galaxy Watch, you can change them to some extent. One press of the top button always takes you to the watch face. But if you hold them for a long time, you will call up the Bixby voice assistant, which you don't really need. Pressing it twice will take you to Settings. The bottom button typically takes you back one step.

Function buttons on your Galaxy Watch change like this:

  • Go to Settings.
  • Choose an option Advanced features.
  • Scroll down and select an item Customize buttons.

The top button is called Home. For a double press, you can specify options for it, such as go to the last app, open the timer, gallery, music, Internet, calendar, calculator, compass, contacts, maps, find phone, settings, Google Play and practically all the options and functions that the watch gives you they offer. If you press and hold them, you can confuse bringing up Bixby with bringing up the shutdown menu.

With the Back button, i.e. the bottom one, you can specify only two variants of behavior. The first one, i.e. moving to the previous screen, is set by default. But you can replace it with the display of the last running application.

Option to change font style

your Galaxy Watch they also allow you to change the font style and size. To change the font style, navigate to Settings→Display→Font Style. In addition to the default font, there are five more to choose from, with the last three being more "raunchy" which may suit younger users.

 

Quickly launch an application or function using a gesture

your Galaxy Watch they have a gadget called Quick Launch. This allows you to quickly launch the function or application of your choice using a double-bending gesture of the hand at the wrist. This very useful feature can be found in Settings→Advanced Features. By default, the My Exercise function is mapped to it, which you can change to turn on the flashlight, open the last app, add a reminder, or open all the apps your watch has to offer.
