Android Auto is a useful service from Google dedicated to providing infotainment systems for cars. Now, Google has released a new stable update that will bring some new improvements, such as changed status icons. At the same time, however, we also have bad news.

Google is about to end support Android Auto for devices with older versions of the system than Oreo. Users will be notified after they update their app Android Auto on the latest version 11.0. The notification is simultaneously displayed not only on connected smartphones but also on car displays.

Once the notification arrives on your device, it prompts you to update it. This means that the user who has a smartphone eligible for the new system update Android, will only get this notification because another user who is using an older device and is excluded from updates will logically not be able to update it.

This issue affects device owners with system version Android Nougat, so owners of smartphones running on the system Android 8 Oreos may still be at rest. But it is very likely that they will come up next year.
