Samsung's next flagship series Galaxy The S24, which should be presented in about two weeks, will apparently be powered by the One UI 6.1 superstructure. Some of its key ones have already been leaked function, including new measures to protect battery health. However, you can activate the upcoming battery health features now on One UI 6.0 devices.

As revealed by a well-known leaker Tarun Vats, the new battery protection features from One UI 6.1 can be activated on One UI 6.0 devices using a third-party app. You need to download and install Activity Launcher from the store Google Play. Then search for "batterypro" in it, tap on the Battery Protection feature that pops up and turn it on. The function offers a total of three options. The first is Basic Protection, the second is Adaptive Protection and the third is Maximum Protection. Note that the feature is still a work in progress and may not work properly in some cases.

The Basic Protection function allows the battery to be charged to 100% and then stops charging until the charge level drops to 95%. After that, charging will start again and the same process will be repeated until you disconnect the phone or tablet from the charger. It is the most basic form of battery health protection.

If you choose Adaptive Protection, charging will pause when it reaches 80% and then reach 100% just before you wake up. This feature works mostly during an overnight charging scenario and provides moderate protection. It starts working properly after your device learns your sleeping habits and usage patterns.

Finally, the Maximum Protection option allows the phone to charge up to 80% and then stop charging. This option offers the best battery health protection. However, you won't be able to get the best possible battery life using it. It is good for long-term battery health.
