Android Auto is one of the most popular navigation apps. One reason is that, like Google Maps, it often gets updates with new features. Soon he will get into it too Artificial Intelligence. Now Google is rolling out a major redesign of Google Assistant and voice responses.

Google Assistant had within the app Android The car has had a number of different looks over the years, as Google never seemed to settle for too long with one design. He came up with the last one last August. And after less than half a year, he starts introducing a new one.

The new environment of Assistant v Android Auto now displays a "listening" user interface on the bottom bar, replacing the app icons. If you don't start speaking immediately, the question "Hi, how can I help you" will appear, but once you start speaking, Google will transcribe what you said along this bar. Assistant responses are still read aloud and not displayed on the screen.

In addition to the new design of the Google Assistant, it has also improved the way voice responses work in the Android Car. As before, everything is handled by the Assistant, but voice responses now appear in any space that doesn't use maps in the app. As 9to5Google reports, in the case of its editor's car, voice responses appear along the bottom row of widgets. One panel displays a "Talk Now" prompt, which then overwrites the user's message, while offering prominent "Talk Now" and "Send" buttons. Next to it, the profile picture and name of the person you are talking to is displayed, as well as a small icon of the application in use (in this case, Telegram).

This will vary depending on screen size, but on smaller displays everything will appear in one vertical panel with the contact's name and picture at the top and a message above the two buttons mentioned above. These design changes were introduced in the beta version Android Auto 11.2, which Google started releasing this week. As the site points out, these updates are not entirely dependent on a particular version of the application. The changes will probably reach all users over the next few weeks.
