Galaxy The S24 Ultra is the first smartphone in the world to use Corning's new glass called Gorilla Glass Armor to protect the display. The new glass has better anti-reflective properties and, according to Corning and Samsung, also provides higher protection against scratches. This has now been confirmed by a YouTuber from the well-known YouTube channel PBKreviews. What exactly did he find?

According to a YouTuber from the tech YouTube channel PBKreviews, Gorilla Glass Armor na Galaxy The S24 Ultra will scratch up to level 8 on the Mohs hardness scale. Maybe at level 7, but the scratches at that level were so faint that the camera couldn't pick them up. For comparison, the Gorilla Glass Victus 2 of last year's Ultra starts to show scratches already at level 6 on the Mohs hardness scale.

As for the titanium frame u Galaxy S24 Ultra, it (or its finish) is durable enough to resist scratches at level 4 on the Mohs hardness scale. Scratch marks start appearing at level 5 and above.

So it seems that the Gorilla Glass Armor actually offers better protection against scratches than the Glass Victus 2. This is great news for those who might want to use such expensive phones without a case and other screen protectors. Let us recall that Galaxy The S24 Ultra and its siblings the S24+ and S24 will go on sale on January 31st.
