Ever since Samsung started releasing bezel-less smartphones with the system Android, offered them their own control using gestures. Only then did he add it to Google, only to finally cancel his with One UI 6.1. But if you've been dreading that switch to a new system or device, we've got some pretty good news for you.

After some users asked Samsung to bring back the "original" navigation system based on familiar gestures, it seems to be acting quickly. This sense of control will be returned to the system, however, by updating the NavStar application. NavStar is a module within the Good Lock experimental set. The update has not yet been released and the company has not released any timetable for its release, but it is true that the series Galaxy The S24 isn't even on sale yet, and it'll be the only one running One UI 6.1 for a while.

It seems that Samsung no longer wants its gesture-based navigation system to be part of the basic One UI, and has decided to transfer it to NavStar Good Lock. The function is probably to blame Galaxy AI, i.e. Circle to Search. So if someone wants to use Samsung's old gesture-based navigation system in One UI 6.1 and later, they will have to install not only the Good Lock app, but also its NavStar module, which is obviously tedious and unintuitive for less advanced users.

It is also worth noting that this would probably only be a temporary prolongation of the inevitable. When Samsung itself has cut this sense of control within the system, it is more likely that they will eventually throw it out of NavStar as well, rather than return it as an option in Settings. However, a few days ago, the company also revealed the option to hide the navigation bar with Google gestures, again through the NavStar module. Because this panel takes up too much space on the display, many people don't like it.
