When he came Apple s iPhonem X, showed the world a new possibility of controlling the touch screen. Samsung came up with its concept of the same a year later, when Google followed it, but again a little differently. Now, with One UI 6.1, we've got it messed up. Samsung has removed its option from the system and we are left with only Google. How to hide the gesture bar on Samsung is not entirely clear?

So we have two out of three options, because control via virtual buttons still has its advantages for many, and that's why Samsung keeps it in the interface. But if the navigation bar on the display bothers you, because you know where it is anyway and you don't need to have it displayed, you can hide it (which iPhone users can't, for example).

How to hide the gesture navigation bar in One UI 6.1

But you won't find it directly in the settings. You have to go to Galaxy Store and install the Samsung app called Good Lock. It contains experimental modules with which you can enrich the One UI system with significant possibilities. But it also interferes a lot with the actual configuration of the given options, which is why it also offers a module NavStar, which you download to your device.

Drive all the way up, tap NavStar and give Home. Switch to tab Swipe gestures, click on On (you must have device control via gestures set up). Then activate the option Enable extra gesture settings. Now you can go to Settings -> Display -> Navigation panel, where with swipe gestures selected, tap Other options.

You can now see the previously deleted Samsung gestures here and below Gesture hint. When you turn it off, the distracting bar disappears from your display and the display offers you more displayed content. It's a bit more lengthy procedure, but you have nowhere to get lost here. Moreover, when One Ui 6.1 is available for other Samsung devices, they will have the same problem. This guide is therefore valid for all One UI 6.1 devices, not only Galaxy S24 (that is, if Samsung doesn't add NavStar options directly to Settings with some update).

For the sake of completeness, let's add that even with this setting, the Circle to Search option still works. It was originally speculated that Samsung removed its sense of control because of this functionality. But she has no problem even with hiding the bar or the set original touch control of Samsung.
