Since every brand depends on quality marketing through its social networks, Google will bring them a rather interesting novelty. It integrates more of their social networks into Maps.

Business profiles appear in search results and on Maps, giving people instant access to important information about a given business, such as its location, contact informace, opening hours, reviews and photos of the place. In Maps, you will also find shortcuts to the way to the business you are looking for, just one click away, as well as contacting it, etc. This may seem like a lot of information, but apart from user-provided images, such as the entrance to the business and its surroundings, Maps does not have room for any other marketing opportunities.

But that's changing, as Google Business Profiles product expert Krystal Taing recently shared how businesses can integrate their social media accounts with business profiles to add a digital billboard for further engagement. Google thus automatically downloads the latest posts from linked social media accounts and displays them at the bottom in a dedicated section called Social media updates.

In the documentation Google support this change explains that business owners can connect one account to their business profile on each platform where the integration supports linking Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube and X (formerly Twitter) accounts. On your business profile, the option to get started is under Edit Profile -> Informace about the company -> Contact -> Social profiles. To link your account, just enter the URL of your user account.

While this change makes it easier for consumers to identify the businesses they see on social media in the real world, it gives brands more space on their displays to "sell" themselves without much extra effort. The introduction of this innovation is still gradual, when the main step must of course be carried out by the company or company itself.
