It has been speculated for some time that Samsung is working on its first smart glasses, with which it could compete with solutions such as Vision Pro from Apple. However, apparently this is not the same device as his upcoming one headset for augmented reality. Now, a new patent from the Korean giant has surfaced in the digital backroom, revealing the design of its smart glasses.

As noticed by the web Patently Apple, which otherwise specializes in the Cupertino giant's patents, Samsung had a new one registered with the World Intellectual Property Organization on March 7 patent for smart glasses and their charging case. At first glance, the appearance of the glasses does not differ much from ordinary ones.

The first image of the patent shows a basic view of the seemingly ordinary glasses, while the second offers a complete overview of the components inside. The next picture shows the internal configuration of the device in an exploded state. The patent further discloses a front view showing the case as well as a front view showing the state in which the glasses are being charged in the case. Interestingly, the patent does not mention cameras or sensors that you would expect in such a device.

Overall, the patent about the Korean giant's first smart glasses does not reveal many specific details. The patent doesn't even confirm that Samsung is actually working on such a device. However, if he is really developing them, we don't expect him to introduce them this year. His priority in the area of "wearables” should now be a smart ring Galaxy Ring.
