Prague, January 15, 2014 – In response to the fast-growing global mobile gaming market, Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., a global leader in mobile technology and digital solutions, has introduced GamePad and application MobileConsole. Their goal is to enrich the gaming experience on devices of the popular series GALAXY. This allows users to save money and enjoy console-quality games without having to spend on a separate gaming system.

GamePad transforms a Samsung smartphone or tablet GALAXY in a portable or even a home game console. Its durable steel frame can accommodate a mobile device with a size of 4 to 6,3 inches. Pairing takes place via Bluetooth and for devices with an operating system Android 4.3 (e.g. GALAXY Note 3, S4, Note II and S III) it is also possible to connect the GamePad more easily using technology NFC. Via an HDMI cable or the AllShare Screen Mirroring function, users can also connect the device to a TV and enjoy the game experience in a really big way.

Press the "Play" button to launch the application easily MobileConsole, which is Samsung's new integrated game app. Activates in conjunction with the GamePad and enables search and buy games, which use gamepads. The Mobile Console application offers games from a wide range of categories:

  • races - e.g. Need for Speed ​​™ Most Wanted by Electronic Arts Asphalt 8 by Gameloft: Airborne;
  • shooting games - e.g. Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour; by Gameloft;
  • sports games - e.g. Virtua Tennis™ Challenge from SEGA;
  • action titles - e.g. Gangstar Vegas by Gameloft.

The Mobile Console app is available for download in the store Samsung Apps or by double tapping the "PLAY" button located on the GamePad. It offers 35 individual games, with many more titles to come in 2014.

Launching on the Czech market is planned for January 2014 at a price of CZK 1 including VAT.
