Samsung officially stated today what was the cause of overheating and subsequent explosions or fires of phones Galaxy Note 7. The problem was defective batteries, which in some cases could cause an explosion or a fire. Samsung said that the phones were examined by an incredible 700 experts from various fields, who aimed to find out exactly how accidents occurred.

Samsung also denied any other problems the phones had. It was all about faulty batteries only. Samsung stated Galaxy Note 7, a direct competitor iPhone 7 at the end of August last year. In some countries, however, the phones did not even go on sale, and in others they were withdrawn after a few days, as defects with the battery appeared from the very moment they were put on sale. In total, dozens of cases where phones caught fire or exploded were recorded. Samsung first tried to fix everything by replacing batteries for users free of charge, unfortunately even the replaced batteries started to show the same problems as the original ones and so the company decided to introduce new, updated models at the beginning of October Galaxy Note 7, which should already be completely safe.

Unfortunately, after a few days it turned out that the phones have the same problems as the original models, and the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus competition disappeared from the store shelves. Samsung called on all owners of the phones to return them as soon as possible to authorized stores, where they will be refunded the full amount for the phones. Unfortunately, customers have realized that this is a relatively rare product, so there are currently around 130 Note 00 phones in circulation in South Korea alone.

Samsung uses updates and operators to try to disable the phones so that users have to actually return them. Unfortunately, even so, there are still hundreds of thousands of phones around the world that pose a huge risk. In the Czech Republic, you can return phones by calling the toll-free line 800 726 786, where you will find out where to take the phone or you can have a Samsung representative pick it up directly at your home, with the provision that you will either get your money back or you can take it as a replacement Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge.
