Prague, March 12, 2014 – Samsung wants to help companies prepare for the second phase of “Consuming IT” through technologies that will take their business operations to a higher level. This was announced by SP Kim, Executive Vice President of Global Marketing and Global B2014B Center of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., during his keynote speech at CeBIT 2 in Hannover, Germany.

According to SP Kim, Samsung will provide companies with the new business experience it brings two main technological trends:

  1. Products they must not only offer the benefits of better technology, but they must also be professional, reliable and should offer high security for businesses.
  2. Corporate technology they must also be designed for people – that is, easy to use and customer-oriented.

This year, Samsung is focusing on the five most important levels of the B2B market at CeBIT: retail, education, healthcare, financial services a state administration. It works closely with many partners from the B2B area and therefore its stand at the CeBIT fair presents solutions for individual industries from companies such as ITractive, More Success Marketing, Control Systems, RedNet, Ringdale, SAP, sc synergy, Fiducia, Softpro, T-Systems , Adversign, Schiffl and Zalando.

"Samsung is one of the few companies that is able to combine the position of a global leader in the field of consumer electronics with a continuous effort to bring new innovations and superior technologies in the field of B2B," Kim said, noting that more than a quarter of Samsung's employees work in research and development. "Samsung has three core values ​​in B2B: technological convergence, trusted partnerships and speed to market. We're trying to bring a sense of urgency to B2B because we want to succeed and - more importantly - we want our customers to succeed." Kim added.

Printing solutions for small and medium-sized companies

At the CeBIT fair, Samsung presented new series of NFC printers for secure and mobile printing with new solutions tailored to small and medium-sized businesses. As part of this strategy, Samsung is also coming up with cloud-based printing services that combine ease of use and security through the Samsung KNOX platform.

Mobile security

Samsung introduces the latest version of its KNOX security platform for devices with the system Android. Since October 2013, when KNOX was first available, Samsung has sold more than 25 million devices with the platform. Today, KNOX has more than 1 million active users. The latest version of KNOX extends important security features, from certificate management in the secure TrustZone, which turns the phone into a smart card, to two-factor biometric authentication.

Healthcare

Samsung is bringing much-needed mobility and convergence to the medical device industry. This includes, for example, the Hello Mum feature for ultrasound machines that allows pregnant women to share 3D images with their family, or mobile digital health records and integrated information system solutions.

Retail

Competing in the online world requires brick-and-mortar stores to provide a shopping experience that is not only visually interesting (with video walls and transparent displays), but also offers customers comprehensive services from multiple sources (e.g. cash registers via tablets or digital mirror, with which customers can try on new clothes without having to go to the fitting room).

Education

Computers should not be in classrooms only for teaching informatics, but also to support the acquisition of learning experiences - whether through integrated solutions such as Samsung School, interactive whiteboards or through secure printing or the very successful Samsung chromebook series.

Financial services

Security and quality customer service are the key points of Samsung's business solution for the financial services industry - from digital promotion and secure signature solutions to the provision of pull-printing printing systems and Cloud Display cloud solutions.

Government

Government services should be digital to meet the needs of citizens. Therefore, Samsung offers government organizations and authorities a wide range of solutions from secure mobile platforms such as Samsung KNOX, which has security certification from the US Department of Defense, to the Thin Client system, economical Follow-me printing, digital promotion, etc.
