Samsung has released Samsung Max, which saves mobile data, monitors data usage, extends Wi-Fi security, and manages app privacy. Basically, this is not a completely new application, but you may know it as Opera Max, which was pre-installed on selected devices Galaxy. However, the Opera Max application ended last year, but the service as such will continue to be available under the name Samsung Max. The bad news for some users is that the Samsung Max app will only be available on the South Korean giant's smartphones, so owners of other brands are out of luck.

The application will be pre-installed on all smartphones of the series Galaxy A a Galaxy J sold in India, Argentina, Brazil, Indonesia, Mexico, Nigeria, South Africa, Thailand and Vietnam. Users from other countries and other devices can download the app from Google Play or Galaxy Apps.

Samsung says the app is part of its initiative Make for India, which aims to develop hardware and software for customers in India.

The app has two main features namely data saving mode and privacy mode. First, let's look at data saving mode. Monitors data usage by various applications and identifies opportunities for data savings. Once activated, the feature compresses images, videos, music files and web pages (http only, not https) to use up as little mobile data as possible.

Another feature is the privacy protection mode, which offers an additional layer of security if the user accesses the Internet via public and untrusted Wi-Fi hotspots, as it communicates with its own proxy server through an encrypted path.

The previous Opera Max app offered similar features. However, Samsung has improved the user interface that corresponds with the Samsung design and enriched the application with some additional features.
