In the past few weeks, more talk has started about the upcoming phablet Galaxy Note 9. More than a week ago we you informed, that Samsung could introduce the device a few weeks earlier. It was expected that we will see the devices at the turn of July and August, but the latest report refutes this. This is because Lee Jae-yong, vice president of Samsung Electronics, requested a design change, which will delay the Note 9 launch by two weeks.

The Samsung Display division already started mass production of 6,38-inch displays for the upcoming phablet in April, so it was assumed that the South Korean giant would introduce the Note 9 to the world even before the originally planned date. However, last-minute design adjustments will return the premiere to its original date.

Concept Note 9 by DBS DESIGNING:

Vice President Lee Jae-yong recently went on a trip to a smartphone distribution center in China, where he played with cell phones from Oppo and Vivo, which also use OLED panels from Samsung Display's workshop. He found that the phones felt better in the hand than the phablets in the line Galaxy Notes. That's why Samsung is reportedly reducing the thickness of the display glass by 0,5 millimeters at the last minute.

Whereas the Galaxy The Note9 is supposed to have a 6,38-inch display, so customers will appreciate that Samsung will do its best to make the device work well and sit perfectly in the hand.
